Hatha Yoga
Hatha yoga involves a body of yogic practices, both physical and mental, that combine posture, breath control, seals, and locks, performed for the purpose of purifying and strengthening the physical and subtle bodies. The word “hatha” combines two Sanskrit words: ha, which means “the breath of the sun” (prana), and tha, “the breath of the moon” (apana). As with all forms of yoga the aim of Hatha yoga is the control of the body and bodily activities as a means of stilling the mind.
Kundalini Yoga
No matter what we achieve, our successes are hollow unless we fulfil the soul’s yearning to bring higher consciousness into our daily lives. Kundalini Yoga, as taught by Yogi Bhajan, is much more than a system of physical exercise; it’s a dynamic, powerful tool for expanding awareness.
An integrated and authentic system of exercise, breath control, and meditation that has been practised in India for millennia, it’s safe, comprehensive, and simple. It promotes physical health, stimulates the mind’s potential, and touches one’s innermost being.
Kundalini yoga is based on kriyas, or specially formulated sets of exercises. This allows you to target specific benefits and work on exactly those aspects of yourself that need work at the current time. Any amount of time spent practising – whether three minutes or an hour a day – produces significant benefits, and in turn, motivates individuals to dedicate more time to its practice. Suitable for all levels of students.
Yin Yoga
Yin yoga, so named because of its correspondence to the Taoist concept of yin, is a very distinct style of yoga similar to hatha yoga that is characterized by passive asanas held for several minutes each that target the connective tissues, such as the ligaments, bones, and even the joints of the body that normally are not exercised very much in a more active style of asana practice. Some believe that yin yoga is the oldest form of hatha yoga, since it is the ideal method of physical conditioning for prolonged meditation.
Yin Yoga has the same goals and objectives as any other school of yoga; however, it directs the stimulation normally created in the asana portion of the practice deeper than the superficial or muscular tissues (which we are calling the yang tissues).
Yin Yoga generally targets the connective tissues of the hips, pelvis, and lower spine and is a perfect complement to the dynamic and muscular (yang) styles of yoga that emphasize internal heat, and the lengthening and contracting of our muscles. Suitable for all levels of student.

Kids Yoga
All children’s yoga courses are during school term only. Kids Yoga is a great way to help growing children learn to stretch, develop strength and relax their bodies and minds. Through meditation, creative visualisation and drawing they will develop an understanding of the power and potential they have inside themselves.
They will learn to set realistic goals and have skills to deal with challenging moments in their lives. The benefits will be life long and cross over every aspect of their lives. The immediate benefits include better posture, sleep and breathing, greater awareness, self confidence and sense of peace, improved co-ordination, concentration and balance.
Vinyasa Flow Yoga
A Vinyasa Flow Yoga class is a series of poses that will move you through the power of inhaling and exhaling. The breath becomes an important component as you move from one pose to the next on the inhale or exhale.
Vinyasa Flow Class has both mental and physical benefits. Physically, sweat expels toxins and re-energizes your body. Mentally, the synchronized breathing relaxes your mind and helps to release any blockage of energy flow throughout your body. A Vinyasa Flow class is both a great way to start your week & a great way to continue challenging yourself. If you like to focus on the power of breathing and flowing movement through poses, you will enjoy the Vinyasa flow style!
