What Techniques Will Be Used?
Yoga Postures (Asanas):
Hatha Yoga is a gentle way of stretching your body, which involves completing yoga poses (at your own pace) while listening to the needs of your body. As Yoga is non-competitive it is important not to force or over stretch your movements. Move gently into the posture and experience what is happening within, breathing deeply as you go.
Breathing Practices (Pranayama):
the mind and decreasing tension and built-up stress in the body. Concentration can also improve, so you can become more focused and receptive to the world around you. This form of breathing can also help to prepare the mind and body for relaxation.
Relaxation Exercises:
When you complete these exercises you will experience a deep relaxation that will allow your body to truly rest, so that the natural healing process and stress release can take place. After this practice you will feel calm, relaxed and more energised, with these gentle exercises being able to be used by people of all ages.
