K Yoga with Cathy
There are many forms of yoga and each has the same goal to establish the union between the mind, body and spirit. The word yoga means “to join together”, or “to unite”.
Whichever style you choose, yoga will strengthen the nervous system, build strength and flexibility of the body, stimulate circulation and works to cleanse tissues.
Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan brings together a blend of asana, pranayam, mantra, music and meditation. Delivered as Kriyas each is designed to target a specific action in the body. This is a powerful system that teaches you the art of relaxation, self healing and elevation.
Kundalini Yoga is not instead of your normal practice, it is the opportunity to understand the technology of the human body. The opportunity to experience and learn techniques that will deepen our meditative state, relieve stress, renew vitality, strengthen the nervous system and connect you with your own creative force and with creativity itself.
Karuna Yoga is inspired by BKS Iyengar and adapted by Ruth White for western bodies under the banner of “Karuna Yoga: Yoga for Everyone”. Classes encourage the student to realise their full potential through the practice of asanas and the use of yogic breathing. The student experiences a strengthening and flexing of the body and a stilling of the mind.
Koali Kids is yoga for 4 1/2 – 7 year olds. Classes are taught creatively to stimulate children’s imagination while gaining all the benefits of Yoga.

Cathy has practiced Yoga for over 20 years and holds a Karuna Yoga Teaching Diploma (500RYS), Kundalini Research Institute (KRI) Level 1 Certificate (200hrs); KRI Vitality and Stress Level 2 Certificate; KRI Mind and Meditation Level 2 Certificate. She has completed certificates for Bringing Kundalini Yoga into Healthcare: Foundations Cancer & Viral Conditions; Overcoming Cold Depression; Post Traumatic Stress Disorder
Cathy is a Reiki Master and is studying Sat Nam Rasayan healing
Cathy has a warm and enthusiastic approach to her yoga. Yoga should work for the individual and classes are adapted to suit the needs of students attending. The classes are designed to build strength and awareness while achieving a peaceful calm state. Classes in healthcare are adapted for the specifics of the students with the aim to bring better health and well being to the individuals. Yoga is for everyone.
Healing sessions offer a deep relaxation and healing achieved through the stillness of the meditative state. Cathy approaches healing in a compassionate and gentle manner with loving kindness.
