The principle of TCM is to attain balance, this is achieved by using the modalities of acupuncture, herbal medicine, cupping and moxibustion. Acupuncture
Acupuncture is one of the oldest, most commonly used medical procedures in the world, originating in China more than 4,000 years ago. Acupuncture involves using sterile stainless steel needles to stimulate acupuncture points. Research into acupuncture has shown that it stimulates the body to produce endorphins, resulting in a feeling of euphoria.
Do the needles hurt?
We are frequently asked this question. The needles used in acupuncture are very fine and acupuncture is a painless therapy when applied correctly. Lots of our clients find it is so relaxing that they fall asleep.

Diet Therapy
Diet therapy is the use of foods as medicine. This is a practice that has been used in Chinese culture for thousands of years. Each food has it’s own therapeutic nature, it may be sour, sweet, bitter, salty or bland. Each nature has it’s own therapeutic action which can then be applied in an individual case.
Using the diagnostic tools of Chinese medicine, an optimum individual dietary plan can be established for you. While eating lots of chilli or spices is great for some people it may not be for others. Should you eat food warm or cold? How much fruit should you be eating? How much water should you be drinking? You’ll get all the answers.

Acupuncture is a safe and effective method of pain relief.
