Located in Geelong East, Atha Yoga provides a variety of classes for students at all levels of ability, from Beginners to Intermediate, Pre-Natal, Mums and Bubs and Gentle/Restorative.

Atha Yoga Classes
Term 1, 2015 begins on Tuesday the 27th of January
This is a 9 week term, therefore rate is $144.00
Beginners Class
This is a 1.5 hour class incorporating Asana (postures), Shavasana (deep relaxation) and meditation practice.
Taking our beginner Yoga classes will build a solid foundation for your practice, you will develop your strength and flexibility, which will enable you to progress safely to the next level. If you have no prior yoga experience or would like to consolidate your knowledge of the basics of Asana (postures), this is the class for you!
THU 6:00 pm Beginners
Beginner to Intermediate Class
This is a 1.5 hour class incorporating Asana (postures), Shavasana (deep relaxation) and meditation practice.
This class is ideal for those who have a reasonable level of fitness.
Starting at the level of Beginners, this stream will build the basic foundation for your ongoing yoga practice. You will also enjoy the opportunity to delve into Intermediate Asana as we progress.

Intermediate Class
This is a 1.5 hour class incorporating Asana (postures), Shavasana (deep relaxation) and meditation practice.
The Intermediate class is ideal for students who have prior experience and prefer a more dynamic approach to their practice. This class includes a series of vigorous, flowing Asana (postures) that work in congruence with the breath and bring heat to the body prior to working into the poses more deeply. This serves the purpose of elevating awareness, depth and meditative flow for your practice.

Gentle / Restorative
This is a 1.5 hour class incorporating Asana (postures), Shavasana (deep relaxation) and meditation practice.
This class is suitable for all adult age groups, including seniors, and includes deep relaxation (Shavasana) gentle Asana, (if necessary, you may sit in a chair), Pranayama (breath awareness) and meditation. You’re able to work at your own pace, if you have a medical condition, limited mobility or injury and are looking for a calm and gentle practice, this class is the one you’re looking for.
WED 4:15pm Gentle/Restorative
Prenatal Class
This is a 1.5 hour class incorporating Asana (postures), Shavasana (deep relaxation) and meditation practice.
This is a nurturing class designed to support women as they experience the changes that arise during pregnancy. It includes breathing practice, Asana (yoga poses), relaxation and birth preparation techniques. The class caters for expectant Mums at all levels of experience.

Mums and Bubs Class
This is a 1 hour class incorporating Asana (postures) and Shavasana (deep relaxation).
The Mums and Bubs class is open to Bubs from 6 weeks to crawling.
These classes have been appreciated and enjoyed by all. It’s been delightful seeing the gorgeous babes grow and flourish and witnessing the interaction between the Mums and Bubs.
There’s a profound sense of calm that descends on the room when this class is running. It doesn’t matter if your baby happens to cry or needs feeding or cuddling, anything goes and it just falls into place and works.
THIS CLASS RUNS ON A 5 WEEK ROTATION AND IS SUBJECT TO NUMBERS.
We require the Mums and Bubs classes to be used within five consecutive weeks. If you happen to miss a week, you’re able to come to a make up class in a general class, as long as its within the 10 week term.
